Who we are looking for
A Unified Communications Team Leader who will lead a team of technical engineers to design, maintain, service and improve all messaging and collaboration systems on premise and in the cloud.

The Unified Communications Team maintain email security, email filtering, external message hygiene, IP reputation management, on premise and cloud email platforms, archiving, telephony, instant messaging and conferencing services.

You will play a critical role in managing the team to ensure all platforms and systems remain operational 365 days a year.

As a Team Leader, you will manage all work within the team, understanding each work package and scheduling work on a resource plan while providing weekly updates. You will remain current with technology trends and manage a technology roadmap in line with the business requirements.

You will work closely with team members to support and implement the correct solutions and provide coaching and training when required.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
Experience and knowledge of Unified Communication technology.
Extensive experience working within technology.
Demonstrable experience managing a technical team.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Understanding of ITIL framework and best practice.
Experience in managing people, processes, projects and technology.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with people from different disciplines.
Ability to motivate and lead a team while being passionate about delivery.

Main Responsibilities
Reviewing new and current technology with the team and presenting service improvements.
Ensuring all team accountabilities are understood.
Managing all changes to identify risk and operational impact ensuring all change management processes are followed.
Overseeing and ensuring that all project work and small works are completed within a timely manner.
Maintaining an up to date resource plan ensuring work is scheduled and planned.
Managing all incidents, problems and changes in line with our ITIL framework ensuring all SLAs and KPIs are not breached.
Maintaining and creating new process documentation to support the team while ensuring all documentation for service continuity, incident response plans and technical diagrams are kept up to date and maintained.
Conducting regular one to ones ensuring agreed processes are understood and followed.
Reviewing and identifying technology areas to improve.
Driving forward training requirements and creating training plans, while mentoring and coaching team members.
