Who we are looking for

A Content Delivery Network Engineer who will be responsible for the Content Delivery Platform and ongoing provisioning and deployment of services that directly support our website.

You will provide technical support to our Content Delivery Networking (CDN), Cloud, Load Balancing, caching, external DNS and forensics platforms. You will join a highly skilled engineering team, working closely with other technical teams throughout the business.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a major role in ensuring the Network Infrastructure for the world’s leading online gambling Company remains available, stable and secure.

We are looking for a motivated engineer who is passionate about technology, with a specific interest in content delivery across the data centre and in the Cloud.

The day-to-day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused Company ethos. You will be working with the latest technology and best digital minds to create thrilling online betting and gaming experiences.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good attention to detail.
Experience debugging HTTP.
Ability to interoperate technical documentation.
Experience operating on premise or Cloud Content Delivery Networks.
In depth understanding of network technologies, preferably up to Layer 7.
Interest in new technology and developing existing technology.
Ability to keep track of work and report progress.
Appreciation of automation enabling technologies.
Cyber security technology awareness.
Previous experience in Network Forensics.

Main Responsibilities

Assisting with major incident and problem resolution following the ITIL framework.
Providing the triage service ensuring changes are accurate and engineers are technically supported, whilst providing technical guidance and assisting with the on boarding of new team members.
Responding to monitoring observations, alerts and escalations, reacting in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensuring that our platforms remain stable, available and secure.
Driving a collaborative approach with a “can do” attitude within and outside of the team.
Completing work packages aligned to business sponsored projects, whilst meeting agreed deadlines.
Being proactive in the identification of existing system improvements.
Creating and deploying service configuration utilising our CDN infrastructure including, NetScaler, Varnish, HAProxy, DNS and Cloud based CDN solutions.
Administrating the global bet365 CDN assets and associated configuration.
Using our packet capture and application analysis platform to help troubleshoot issues.
