Who we are looking for

A Mobile Application Developer to be part of the Sports team developing our newly released iOS Sports Native App alongside our award winning bet365 website.

As part of the Software Development function you will be working with a growing team of talented developers responsible for the native app development, delivering award winning user interfaces, interactivity and unparalleled performance. You will work collaboratively with your team leader throughout all stages of the software delivery lifecycle ensuring high quality delivery through to the App Store.

You will be working with a large, modern and ever expanding Swift codebase to enhance our Sports app. This will include feature development and enhancements, issue resolution and performance improvements, tooling production and automation.

The day to day work is interesting, challenging and fast paced amidst a hardworking and delivery focused company ethos. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to tackle some of technology’s greatest challenges.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Experience in developing scalable applications for Apple iOS devices.
Technically strong in Swift 5+.
Experience performance testing Swift applications.
Experience of code-only applications without the use of storyboarding.
Keen sense of ownership and autonomy.
Excellent communications skills and ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to analyse and solve technical problems.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting and enhancing our Swift codebase.
Ensuring high quality and consistent coding patterns.
Maintaining clean coding practises.
Identifying technical areas of improvement.
Contributing to solution and estimate proposals.
Supporting the testing function in the test cycle of the customer facing application.
Keeping up to date with latest industry trends.
Assisting and mentoring less experienced app developers.
