Who we are looking for

A SharePoint Developer who will be responsible for the administration, migration, development including bespoke and integration with our Business applications.

The Project and Programme Delivery team are looking for a SharePoint Developer to join this exciting and vital part of our Business. You will be working as a part of a development team, responsible for the administration and development of the SharePoint environment.

SharePoint is used to provide rich workflow driven documentation management systems, bespoke in-house applications to automate Business process and hosts the Company’s intranet.

Our team have a pro-active approach to workloads and changing environments, working with a wide range of people across all functions and levels of the business.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Support SharePoint functionality and data integration activities. Identifying and resolving technical issues and problems with SharePoint, its various interfaces and supporting tools.
Support the design, engineering, installation, configuration and administration of SharePoint application environments including their upgrade paths.
Experience planning and deploying SharePoint within a business environment.
Experience of SharePoint third party applications such as Nintex and ShareGate.
Working knowledge of Web Technology, Development Environments, Visual Studio, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), SharePoint Designer and SharePoint Modern UI Development.
Experience using SQL Server Reporting Writing and Services, JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery, React and Kendo, CAML, InfoPath, XSLT, CSS and HTML.
Exposure to automated test tools to support continuous integration and regression testing.
Can do attitude and motivated to work outside of your comfort zone. The ability to function as a member of a team, whilst also capable of working with little supervision.
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present products and ideas in a business like manner.
Appreciation of and hands on experience of business continuity principles and processes.

Main Responsibilities

Providing maintenance and administration support for basic SharePoint applications across nonproduction and production.
Managing permissions of models used, ensuring access to applications are controlled appropriately.
Developing solutions based on requirements provided by the Business.
Designing workflows to automate processes and enhance communications.
Integrating SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) with SharePoint portal, to deliver real time reporting to management and end users utilising external and SharePoint data.
Managing and changing the sites, CSS and style sheets in line with our branding.
Developing and deploying SharePoint and InfoPath forms to enhance SharePoint functionality, lists and custom workflows whilst maintaining agreed design layout and principles.
Providing training and demonstrations to end users of the platform to help with platform adoption and usage.
Understanding information architecture to effectively share and report on information, documents and processes as well as providing an analysis of environment and application performance.
Providing 24 hour support as part of an agreed on call rota.
