Who we are looking for

A Software Testing Team Leader who will be assisting in driving the provision of a capable, reactive and motivated delivery focused testing team.

You will be liaising with Product Managers, Development Managers and Development Team Leaders across a suite of products and applications including our responsive site and our iOS and Android Apps.

The Sports team are predominantly UI focussed and are responsible for testing everything relating to our sports offering; including exciting features such as Match Live on our In-Play Product, Streaming, Bet Builder and Cash Out.

As a Team Leader you will not be testing as part of your role. You will be assisting and supporting the Software Testing Manager in the successful delivery of software by coordinating the efforts of the test team.

People will be the key focus of your role. You will remain close to the solutions being tested within the team and work closely with other leads to ensure that testing quality being produced by the team is completed to a high standard.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Preferred skills and experience

Strong team and project leading experience and a strong background in software testing.
Commercial experience of leading large and diverse testing teams and projects.
Experience of testing large scale websites.
Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to multi task and manage multiple streams of activity shifting focus regularly.
Ability to think in a high pressure environment and react quickly to challenging situations.
Proven experience of working with daily releases and high output of development work.
Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work.

Main Responsibilities

Managing a team of Software Testers.
Applying active governance around quality, rules, standards and processes within the team.
Having a solid overall understanding of active work requirements of the team.
Developing, building and supporting the team.
Actively communicating both within and outside the team, attending and contributing to various interdepartmental meetings.
Resourcing, ensuring that priorities are understood and deadlines are met.
Building and maintaining successful relationships within the development teams and at times the operational functions.
Ensuring regulatory and PCI standards are adhered to across the testing phase.
