Who we are looking for
An Enterprise Data Architect who will be responsible for setting the strategy for our data architecture, and providing technical architecture direction for the delivery of the target state.

You will be an integral member of the Architecture Team and will be responsible for the design and implementation of the enterprise wide data strategy, ensuring the strategy supports the current and future business needs.

Applying your strong knowledge of architecture practice, architecture documentation and data technologies to comprehensively capture our current state, holistic data architecture and oversee target state design and implementation.

The role will involve collaborating with other teams across the business, including internal and external IT stakeholders at all levels, ensuring the enterprise data strategy and associated implementation is adding value.
Preferred skills and experience
Extensive experience of developing progressive information management solutions and end-to-end development lifecycle support and software development lifecycle processes.
Established experience of delivering information management solutions to large numbers of end users.
Extensive experience in architecting and implementing enterprise data warehouse, Master Data Management, data integration, business intelligence and analytics, content management and data management platforms.
Experience of creating and implementing data strategies that align with business objectives.
Strong knowledge of industry best practices around data architecture in both cloud based and on premise solutions.
Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data transformation processes such as extract, transform and load and including supporting technologies such as GCP Big Query, GCP Dataflow, Azure Data Factory, Data Lake and other analytics products.
Excellent problem solving and data modelling skills, including logical, physical, sematic and integration models, together with normalisation, OLAP/OLTP principles and entity relationship analysis.
Experience of mapping key enterprise data entities to business capabilities and applications
Strong knowledge of horizontal data lineage from source to output.
Excellent communication and presentational skills, demonstrating a confident and methodical approach, and able to work within a team environment.

Main Responsibilities
Documenting the detailed holistic physical data architecture for both current and target state.
Capturing the physical enterprise data model, working with relevant stakeholders to align to the conceptual and logical models.
Setting the strategy for data architecture to support the business and IT strategies whilst maintaining the data architecture principles.
Creating the data architecture documents and templates for change initiatives and supporting architects and technical leadership to complete.
Managing holistic roadmap of architecture change initiatives across the organisation, coordinating requirements across different initiatives.
Working with Information Security to ensure requirements for data governance, quality, metadata management, mastering and security are delivered whilst advocating data security principles and ensuring appropriate security practices are embedded in any data strategy.
Being a key stakeholder and advisor in all new strategic data initiatives and ensuring alignment to the enterprise wide data strategy.
Building and maintaining appropriate Enterprise Architecture artefacts including Entity Relationship Models, Data dictionary, taxonomy to aid data traceability.
Providing technical oversight to Architects in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and data governance standards.
Supporting 3rd party data suppliers in developing specifications that are congruent with the Enterprise data architecture.
