Who we are looking for

A Country Research Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on the gambling industry in the Netherlands, providing insightful analysis on key aspects of the customer experience.

As part of a small, remote team, you will play a key role in supporting the business by providing localised insights through in-depth research across various business areas, including but not limited to product, offers, payments, verification, marketing and responsible gambling.

In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance the user experience and deliver targeted improvements. Your responsibilities will include conducting competitor analysis, testing websites and apps from various gambling operators, and monitoring ongoing regulatory changes within the industry.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in the gambling industry, offering the chance to contribute to the company’s growth and strategic decision-making.

This is a full-time remote position, and you will be required to be based in the Netherlands. International travel to bet365 offices may be required for this position.

Preferred skills and experience

Previous experience in a research or analyst role within the gambling industry is essential.
Strong interest and understanding of the gambling industry, particularly within the Dutch market, including product, regulations and licencing.
Familiarity with industry regulations and market dynamics in the Netherlands.
Native Dutch language skills and excellent standard of English.
Strong analytical abilities with a focus on delivering in-depth and insightful analysis on key aspects of the customer experience.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and stakeholders across the business.
Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and delivering targeted enhancements.
Experience delivering qualitative research projects, including research design, execution and analysis work.
Familiarity with tools and methodologies for data collection, analysis and reporting.
Ability to work to short deadlines within an exciting and ever-evolving industry.

Main Responsibilities

Conducting comprehensive research on the gambling industry in the Netherlands, focusing on various aspects such as product offerings, regulations and licensing requirements.
Analysing industry trends and market dynamics to provide actionable insights that enhance the customer experience.
Carrying out thorough competitor analysis, including evaluating their websites and apps to benchmark against industry standards and identify areas for enhancement.
Preparing and presenting detailed reports on research findings, ensuring clarity and relevance for stakeholders.
Using data to support recommendations and guiding strategic business decisions.
Comparing the product offerings within the gambling industry with a view to recognising best in class.
Providing cultural insight into consumer behaviours and preferences.
Monitoring industry developments, providing commentary into the potential future impact of any changes.
Supporting multiple areas of the business in developing localised insight.
Working independently and managing your workload in order to meet deadlines.
