Who we are looking for
A Service Quality Team Leader who will be managing a team of Test Analysts responsible for facilitating the review and validation of changes prior to being introduced onto our IT Services platforms.

We are looking for someone to help build a Service Quality function within IT Services to ensure that changes released onto the platform have a defined mechanism to facilitate a robust and reliable delivery.

This is a non-technical role, but a background in testing is essential. You will be assisting the Application Systems Manager and IT Technical Services Manager in the successful delivery of technical change, coordinating the efforts of the service quality team with those of the IT Services engineering and development teams.

People will be the key focus of your role. You will remain close to the changes being validated and work closely with Test Analysts to ensure that the quality of testing being produced by the team is completed to a high standard. A bespoke testing approach and appropriate tooling will be determined by the type of change being released, which could be config, code or hardware based.

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Preferred skills and experience
Strong team or project lead experience with a strong background in testing or service quality.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to multi task and manage multiple streams of activity shifting focus regularly.
Proven experience of working with daily releases and high output of development work.
Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work.
Experience of preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, defect reports and progress updates.
Experience in testing ITSM tools and products.
Knowledge of SASS, Rest and API testing.

Defining a test methodology that successfully delivers change across the IT Services platforms with minimal service disruption.
Having a solid overall understanding of active work requirements of the team.
Developing, building and supporting the team.
Attending and contributing to various interdepartmental meetings, ensuring active communication both within and outside the team.
Resourcing and ensuring that priorities are understood and deadlines are met.
Building and maintaining successful relationships within the IT Services development and engineering teams.
