Platform Innovation is a newly formed technology department at the forefront of innovation and research, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of technological advancements.
We are building a dynamic and diverse team including a visionary Senior AI Engineer who will play a pivotal role in driving our mission of creating groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence.
You will lead cross-functional collaborations to architect and implement state-of-the-art AI solutions, ensuring scalability and seamless integration across our platforms. You will work with a diverse array of AI technologies, mentoring junior engineers and influencing the strategic direction of our initiatives, helping the team deliver to the overall vision.
This position is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
The salary for this role is $120,000 - $160,000 annually.

Preferred skills and experience
- Bachelor's Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a strong portfolio of relevant work.
- Proven professional experience in designing and implementing advanced machine learning models and algorithms, with a focus on delivering impactful solutions.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, data structures, and algorithms, allowing for effective problem-solving and optimisation of AI systems.
- Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries, such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, with hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI applications.
- Demonstrated experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation, ensuring high-quality data input and robust model performance.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and conveying complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
- A strong curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, with a keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning technologies.

- Leading a small team of experienced engineers and driving delivery across AI initiatives
- Leading the rapid prototyping and development of innovative solutions, guiding the team in transforming ideas into functional applications while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders, software teams, and product managers to thoroughly understand requirements and translate them into scalable and robust software solutions that deliver significant value.
- Implementing advanced techniques and methodologies to enhance platform performance, efficiency, and reliability, while taking ownership of critical system components and architecture.
- Conducting in-depth research and staying current with the latest technological advancements, fostering a culture of innovation by sharing insights and proposing new strategies to improve development practices and product offerings.
