Who we are looking for
A Senior IT Support Engineer to take end to end ownership of incidents, and ensure our employees have sufficient equipment and resources to perform their roles.

You will look to achieve high standards of customer service across the team, and be expected to provide technical and operational guidance to other engineers. You will act as a mentor whenever possible and prompt the Company and team behaviours.

This role will require a methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving at 2nd line support level, both face to face and remote, across a broad range of technologies.

You will be expected to lead by example, displaying a positive attitude, bringing ideas and suggested improvements to the team.

There may be times when the role is required to provide overflow support and assistance to the Service Desk and support of projects in other locations.
Preferred skills and experience
Experience with the adminstration of Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix.
Knowledge of corporate or call centre environments.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of and a genuine interest in all things techonology related.
Self-motivation and strong team player ethic.
Enthusiasm and focus with a keen eye for detail.
Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Training delivery skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Operating Systems eg. XP, Vista, 7 and 10.

Main Responsibilities
Resolving VIP and 2nd line incidents.
Acquiring knowledge from and assigning incidents to 3rd line teams.
Training and continual mentoring of engineers, junior engineers and new team members.
Investigating and escalating MI’s to Major Incident managers.
Updating procedural documentation regularly and identifying process gaps and areas for improvement.
Building and maintaining PCs and laptops within the estate.
Managing mobile assets.
Creating and maintaining Active Directory groups and applying to shared drives where required.
Providing a remote hands service for infrastructure hardware.
